In order to run a sustainable business, one needs to build a recognizable brand. In that way, one's product becomes more than a mere commodity, i.e., an interchangeable thing that's devalued as a result.
That's why I highly approve of this blogger's post about wool. Steve Parsons, you're singing a tune right out my choirbook, so to speak. :) #iamfoolish
Now ... if only authors took these words to heart. Because I fear that Amazon is making commodities of their work. And all they see is the money.
Just know that some of us care about publishing quality books, no matter how long it takes or how gimpy we are. Ha ha ha ... #iamfoolish
And I know that the path to success usually looks more like the diagram on the right than the one on the left. :)
PS: Please note that the self-published author Hugh Howey's book WOOL will be made into a movie! :) Awesome!
PPS: I just have to ask ... any relation? :)
PPPS: Now, you know I couldn't leave out this priceless Wallace & Gromit video, right? ;)
